The Hong Kong Customs and Excise Department (July 4) arrested a seafood restaurant clerk at Ginseng, suspected of using false commercial descriptions in the sale of rubber, in violation of the law. 39, Commercial Descriptions Order.
The Department of Customs and Excise reported that a ginseng and seafood vendor in Mong Kok stated that the price of rubber was in kilograms and that the goods concerned were cut before indicating that the rubber was measured at two prices 16 times different from the expected price.
After investigation, customs officers arrested a 28-year-old man today.
The case is still under investigation and the man indemnified is released on bail pending further investigation.
