Zhou Yiqing, founder of Groupe Chevalier, died of illness and was 82 years old. A spokesman for the group confirmed that Zhou Yiqing died yesterday and thanked all the condolences.
Zhou Yiqing founded the Knight Group in 1970. He first worked as a lift and escalator agent, and later expanded to build and develop of ownership.
Groupe Chevalier had three companies listed in Hong Kong: from 2003 to 2004, Chevalier International (00025) privatized its buildings and Singapore Holdings and sold Chevalier in 2011. Disk
Zhou Yiqing, non-executive director of TV Broadcasting (00511) (TVB), was re-elected as an independent non-executive director until 2011 and resigned in 2012.
