House prices rise to new heights in Ada and Canyon Counties

BOISE, Idaho – House prices are rising in Idaho's most populous county.

The Idaho Statesman announced that the median price of real estate in Ada County, which includes Boise, had jumped from $ 10,000 from February to March, reaching $ 335,000, according to reports. Intermountain Multiple Lists service reports.

It's a record and the highest median price since $ 334,400 in August.

The median housing price in nearby Canyon County reached $ 230,000. This is slightly above the previous record of $ 229,945 set in July.

Nampa real estate agent, Rick Gehrke, sells in both counties. He says he's expecting further price increases in the spring and summer.

Gehrke says that existing homes in March in Ada County have been sold after 30 days in the market on average.
