Houston area obtains global headquarters for tech giant Hewlett Packard Enterprise, creating thousands of jobs in area

SPRING, Texas (KTRK) – Fortune 500 Hewlett Packard Enterprise is moving global headquarters from California to the Houston area.

The tech giant’s move will mean thousands of jobs for the region when it opens in the city of Spring in 2022.

“As we look to the future, our business needs, cost reduction opportunities and team members’ preferences for the future of work, we are delighted to relocate HPE headquarters to the Houston area, ”said Antonio Neri, CEO of the company.

HPE describes itself as “the global platform-as-an-edge-to-cloud service company that helps organizations accelerate results by harnessing the value of all their data, everywhere.”

Hewlett Packard Enterprise, which focuses solely on information technology and solutions, should not be confused with HP Inc., which focuses on computer hardware and printers.

HPE and HP Inc. have separated from their predecessor Hewlett-Packard. HP Inc. actually houses an existing office in the spring.

The company was founded in 2015 and is ranked 109th on the Fortune 500 list.
