Sansa Stark and Cersei Lannister are two of the most recognizable enemies of Game of Thrones. But although they are located on either side of Westeros, their costumes have a lot in common.
From the beginning of the show, their outfits were mirrors. When they are both oppressed and weak in previous seasons, they are dressed in loose, pastel clothing, which shows their lack of power. As the series progresses and their intrigues become more complicated, they do not wear "survival camouflage", clothes used to hide the secrets and blend in with the enemy. And when the two women begin to assert the power of their homes, Lannister lions and Stark wolves become the focal point of their clothes.
In the last season of the series, Sansa and Cersei adopt military style dresses on their dresses to prepare for battle. These high-necked dresses evoke images of each family's armor, filled with defensive details such as epaulettes and draped chains. And although both leaders have learned different lessons about war and family, it's safe to say that their parallel outfits are there for a reason.
