Supporters of former President Trump and Americans disgruntled with Joe Biden turned the song “Let’s Go Brandon!” in a massive viral social media trend that spilled over into sporting events, airports, memes, right up to the former president’s Saturday rally in Iowa.

It started as a profane anti-Biden chant during college football games, but has taken it to a new level last Saturday when NBC reporter Kelli Stavast interviewed Brandon Brown, NASCAR Xfinity Series driver, after claiming his first race victory at the Talladega Superspeedway in Alabama.

During the interview, Trump supporters and Biden critics took a page from the book of other sports fans across the country in psalmody “F *** Joe Biden” who could clearly be heard on NBC cameras.

Stavast, in an apparent attempt to hijack the interview from politics, reported that the crowd was really chanting, “Come on Brandon!”

At that moment, the new viral sensation was born.

Memes, jokes and comments immediately began to spread across the internet, posted by Trump supporters mocking NBC’s coverage during the interview.

It took less than a day for the singing to make its way to major sporting events, including one New York Jets NFL Football Game and one Boston Red Sox Playoff Baseball Game.

At a Chicago airport, a man tricked an airline employee into saying “Come on Brandon!” ”Via the paging system.

President Joe Biden couldn’t escape chanting during a visit to Michigan next week and was greeted by protesters on the side of the road chanting the viral message.

A “Let’s go Brandon!” A notice board was even seen showing President Biden eating an ice cream cone.

Trump’s eldest son Donald Trump Jr. has repeatedly mocked President Biden using the phrase “Let’s Go Brandon!” including in a Twitter post of a video showing protesters outside the New York Department of Education chanting “F *** Joe Biden”.

“Come on Brandon!” Trump Jr. tweeted.

On Saturday, #LetsGoBrandon took to Twitter and a plane was spotted above a planned Trump rally in Iowa, behind it a “Let’s Go Brandon!” banner.

Trump is expected to address his supporters in Iowa on Saturday night, where many expect the “Let’s Go Brandon!” frenzy to continue.
