How "Stranger Things" created the Starcourt shopping center

While other areas of the mall remained open to the public, "Stranger Things" took control of an area filled with empty and abandoned sales spaces. It was "a really messy situation," as Trujillo described it: "Imagine a shopping center without shops and without decoration. We had to carefully recreate the facades, all the signs, all the displays. In many cases, we had to reconfigure the architecture of the storefront because it was in poor condition or had been remodeled over the years.
