It may seem like an alternate universe, but there was a time when Rex Ryan, Mark Sanchez and the New York Jets burned the NFL in the good sense of the word. They have achieved two consecutive AFC championship games in their first two seasons together and the future finally announces for a franchise built on failure. But as if I saw a waterfall in the desert, it was a mirage. The Jets crashed and burned in front of the football world, not surprised, but surprised that it did not happen sooner.
