For the first time, Apple offers unlocked models without a SIM card for its range of iPhone 11 from the first day. But there are several models (A2160, A2215, etc.) sold in different regions for each specific iPhone 11 device.

How to check the LTE tapes of the iPhone 11 and the iPhone 11 Pro
- Go to Apple's LTE page for iPhone
- Check the bands and LTE operators supported for each model.
- On the technical specifications page of the iPhone 11 you are looking at, you will find the model sold in your country.
For example, the iPhone 11 Pro and the iPhone 11 Pro Max sold in the United States are the A2160 and A2161, as shown here.
In China, the iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro models are the A2217 and A2220 models.
Go to the iPhone 11 technical specifications page for your country to find out the specific regional model.
In addition, Apple has warned against a scenario in which US users would not have an iPhone 11 or an unlocked iPhone 11:
Almost all iPhone models sold on Apple.com and on the Apple Store are unlocked. This means that they are not related to a single carrier. The exception is when you buy an iPhone with AT & T Next. It will be linked – or locked – to AT & T.
Your iPhone will be unlocked when you:
- Choose a carrier and select Single Payment.
- Choose an operator and select Apple iPhone Payments.
- Choose an operator and join or upgrade with the Apple iPhone Upgrade Program.
- Buy a model without a SIM card. It's like any other iPhone, just without a nano-SIM operator card.
