How to enable dark mode in iOS 13

[ad_1]

In iOS 13, Apple has integrated a system-wide dark mode option, similar to the one brought to the Mac in 2018 with the release of macOS Mojave.

The dark mode is designed to be more enjoyable for the eyes by providing a less severe display brightness in situations where the ambient brightness is reduced while maintaining contrast and vibrancy.

If you have an iPhone OLED, such as an iPhone X, an iPhone XS or iPhone XS Max, dark mode activation can also extend the life of the battery when real blacks are on the screen, because the black pixels of an OLED panel turn off and consume a lot less energy.

Enabling dark mode in iOS 13 is easy – just follow the steps below.

  1. Start the settings application on your iPhone or iPad.
  2. Tap Display and brightness.
  3. Under Appearance, press Dark to go into dark mode.

Note that the display and brightness settings screen also includes Automatic switch that you can toggle – your phone will automatically activate dark mode at sunset and light mode at sunrise.

You can also set a custom schedule for changing the display using the keys The options menu that appears when you switch to the Automatic switch.
