It's been a few days since iOS 13 arrived and introduced its dark theme into the entire system for iPhone, and the list of applications supporting the new dark user interface has expanded beyond the initial batch. Although more apps have been updated to support the dark mode of the entire iOS 13 system, there are still a lot of problems. Nobody likes to be blinded by an application with brilliant user interface elements when using dark mode. Fortunately, you can force all applications to use an ersatz "dark mode" even if they do not officially use "Smart Invert" of the iOS 13 "setting.
Smart Invert is an iOS accessibility option that reverses the colors of your device's screen. Unlike the "Classic Reversal" setting, which gives the impression of being a photo negative, the intelligent reversal of iOS 13 applies only to certain UI applications and elements rather than to the set. on the screen and leaves the icons, text and (mostly) important text unchanged. This means that if an application has a brightly colored interface, the Smart Inverter will change it to a darker color, while applications to which a dark mode theme will be applied will remain intact, unless a part from the dark mode interface of the application is white / bright. colored, in which case, that too will be made even darker.
Smart Invert was present in previous iOS iterations, but the results were inconsistent between applications of these earlier versions. However, now that iOS has an official dark mode setting, the Smart Inverter works much better and can help preserve the aesthetics of "dark mode" in all your applications.
To activate Smart Invert, go to Settings> Accessibility> Text Display and Size, then scroll down and turn on "Smart Invert."
Again, Smart Invert tries to be "smart" about the colors it changes, but some applications may look strange or become difficult to use if some colors have been changed (or have not been changed, in some cases ). If you are having problems, simply disable Smart Invert, restart the application in question and everything should return to normal. You can try using the "Auto Brightness" and "Reduce White Point" settings under Settings> Accessibility> Text Display and Size to make the colors lighter and less dazzling too. Of course, these settings are not always perfect, but they are correct solutions while we wait for all our favorite applications to go dark.
