What’s new in this chicken sandwich?
Right now you probably have a lot of questions, including “Wait, don’t you? McDonald’s already have a chicken sandwich on their menu? In fact, they did (and still do). It’s called the McChicken (clearly), and the fast food chain describes it as “a deliciously crispy chicken fillet topped with mayonnaise, shredded iceberg lettuce and served on a perfectly toasted bun.”
But the new sandwich (that is, the one created to compete with Popeyes’ one) is called the Crispy Chicken Sandwich, and according to McDonald’s, is a “Southern-style fried chicken sandwich is crisp, juicy, and tender perfection.” It’s topped with crumpled pickles and served on a new grilled and buttered potato roll. It is also available in a “spicy” version (accompanied by a spicy pepper sauce) and in a “luxury” version (accompanied by grated lettuce, tomatoes and mayonnaise).
