Genshin Impact Sakura Bloom is a new item you’ll want to collect in abundance once you arrive in Inazuma.
Its primary use is to upgrade Ayaka, but you won’t find them anywhere in Inazuma. There is also a bit of work involved in getting the new higher level gear, and you’ll need an Electro character in your party to get them.

Genshin Impact Sakura Bloom location
At the start of Genshin Impact 2.0 update, Sakura Flowers can only be found on Narukami Island. This is the main island of Inazuma, where the town of Inazuma and the Kamisato mansion are located. MiHoYo’s interactive map shows that around 50 of them are available on Narukami Island.
This is enough to climb up Ayaka three times and reach level 60, assuming you have the other necessary items as well.

Like other plant materials, Genshin Impact Sakura Bloom will reappear after two actual days.
We are working to find more Sakura Bloom locations and will update if it turns out that there are more.
For now, your best bet for Sakura Bloom farming is to head west to Kamisato Manor in the hills, where the majority of the Sakura Blooms are located, and then clean up the outliers around the perimeter of the Isle.
How to get Sakura Bloom in Genshin Impact
Unlike most other plant materials, obtaining Genshin Impact Sakura Blooms takes a bit of work. They are similar to the Flaming Flower in that you will need to use an elemental skill to reveal them.
Sakura flowers appear as pink specks floating in the air. Use an Electro attack to make this visible, then you can collect them and move on to the next one.
What is Sakura Bloom for in Genshin Impact
So far, it seems Sakura Bloom’s only use is to level Ayaka. There might be other uses or more characters that Sakura Bloomfits will adapt to in future updates, but for now that’s the only thing you need to do with them. If you don’t plan on trying to get Ayaka, you can ignore Sakura Blooms for a bit longer.
Yoimiya and Sayu, the next two new characters in Genshin Impact, use other materials for their Ascension, so you can devote your time to completing story quests like A Flower Blooms in a Prison.
