How to make any enemy work in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is not a difficult game. If you venture off the beaten path, you will quickly accumulate enough experience and gain enough power levels to become an unstoppable Viking tank. Still, some boss fights – and other high-level enemies, like Fanatics – can be overwhelming. That is, unless you’ve equipped the best ability in the game: Focus of the Nornir.

Focus of the Nornir puts Eivor in a state similar to Legolas. Time slows down and you shoot arrows repeatedly until your stamina runs out. (Don’t worry: the move doesn’t use your quiver’s arrows, so you don’t have to worry about running out of stores.) If you’ve ranked Focus of the Nornir up – catching its second knowledge book – each additional enemy you kill while in this state increases your damage while the ability is active. The idea here is that it’s a great method of crowd control – pair slow motion with unlimited arrows and you can score a bunch of headshots.

But Focus of the Nornir is also invaluable during boss fights and against anyone with an all-screen health bar. If an enemy is not killed by one of your arrows, they will fall for exactly the time it takes you to lose another. Time well, and they won’t even be able to move. It will only take a few activations to take out just about any enemy. And if you’ve got four adrenaline bars – the yellow gauges that determine whether or not you can use abilities in combat – unlocked, you can easily hit well above your weight, sometimes even killing a boss before they hit it. is at hand.

For reference, yes, it’s me who fearlessly takes on a fanatic who has about 50 or 60 power levels above mine. Such a hero, I know.

You can find Focus of the Nornir’s Book of Knowledge in the far southwest corner of Ledecestrescire, right in the middle of Offchurch. (Ledecestrescire’s main tale will eventually get you there.) A sidebook – one that boosts the ability so that it stacks up damage on every kill – is located at Bolingbroc Castle in Lincolnscire. If you only care about killing bosses, you can skip the second book. This is only essential if you plan to use Focus of the Nornir to take down hordes of basic enemies.

Is Focus of the Nornir a cheap trick? Absolutely! Will this get some of the most tedious and repetitive fights of this already bloated game through in seconds? Yes too. Those looking to ramp up ValhallaThe difficulty factor shouldn’t turn to boss fights anyway. The real challenge can be found by play with the difficulty sliders.
