The annual holiday is made even more complicated by the economic crisis, which worries millions of Americans about their finances. It doesn’t help that food prices go up.

With this in mind, major grocers and food brands are getting creative with unique offers aimed at families and novice cooks.
The pioneer grocer best known for his jaw-dropping prices sells several Thanksgiving dinner staples that cost just $ 30. A dozen items are in the offer, including a Butterball turkey, sweet potatoes, bagged stuffing, and pumpkin pie ingredients.

Campbell’s
Campbell’s notes that with some people hosting Thanksgiving for the first time, “many are worried about seeing an accident with their beloved traditional dishes,” the company said in a statement.
Campbell’s (CPB) is partnering with Instacart to help if the side dish goes aside. The “Dinner Insurance” program allows defaulting cooks to submit a claim and, if approved, an Instacart delivery person will send a prepared meal. Customers can choose from stuffing, mashed potatoes, a casserole of green beans, or baked brie.
However, the pilot program is quite limited: it’s only available in Manhattan on Thanksgiving Day from noon to 5 p.m.
Walmart
You can get a full Thanksgiving meal for free with Walmart (WMT), which has partnered with the Ibotta savings app to allow shoppers to earn 100% cash back on nine items that can feed up to five people.
To access the offer, shoppers must download the Ibotta app, link their Walmart account, and add items to their shopping list. Walmart’s range of side dishes, a 2-liter bottle of Coca-Cola, and a Butterball turkey are included.
Ibotta said he hopes the deal will remove “some of the financial anxiety that we know they are feeling more than ever at this time of year.”
Whole foods
Whole Foods is teaming up with Progressive to offer a special kind of “insurance” in case the turkey turns out terribly.
To be eligible, customers must purchase a Whole Foods brand turkey from the store by November 22. to a special website. A total of 1,000 people will receive a $ 35 Whole Foods gift card to offset some of the cost of their ruined birds.
For those more confident in their culinary abilities, the Amazon-owned grocer is once again offering deals on uncooked turkeys. Prices start at $ 2.49 per pound for non-organic birds, with Amazon Prime members getting an additional 50 cents per pound. Organic turkeys are slightly more expensive.
