How to sign up for Amazon Prime

[ad_1]

If you are attracted by the gifts offered at Prime Day sales, but you are not registered with Amazon Prime, do not worry, Amazon makes it easy for you. (As you can imagine, it's the wrong supplier that prevents people from becoming new customers.)

Prime Day is, of course, an event once a year. Amazon has developed a set of features to entice people to sign up for its premium service. These include: access to Prime Video, video streaming service; two-day free shipping on purchases (with same-day delivery for some items); Prime Music audio streaming (not to be confused with the more extensive Amazon Music Unlimited, which is $ 7.99 / month extra); online storage of photos and videos; Prime Reading, which provides access to a library of comics, books and magazines; and, last but not least, you get a free 30-day trial.

Amazon Prime Day to register

Here's how to sign up:

  • Go to https://www.amazon.com/amazonprime and click on "Try Prime"
  • Choose the plan you want. The basic plan allows you to subscribe to the service at $ 12.99 / month or $ 119 / year, just under $ 10 / month. You can also sign up here for Prime Video alone at $ 8.99 / month, but you will not be able to participate in Prime Day.
  • If you do not have an Amazon account yet, you must create one. So click on "Create your Amazon account" and set it up with your name, e-mail address and password. We strongly recommend that you also configure two-factor authentication for your account.
  • On the next page, Amazon will verify your account by sending what it calls a One Time Password (OTP). Access your email, copy the password to the act, paste it into the Amazon page and click "Check".
  • You will then be asked to enter your credit or debit card information
  • And you're done!

Lower cost premium

Before signing up on the dotted line, however, you should know that you can take advantage of Bonus in two ways without paying the high price – if you qualify.

  • If you are a student, you can sign up for Prime Student, which comes with six months of free membership in Prime, after which it will cost you $ 6.49 / month.
  • If you have a Medicaid card or an Electronic Benefits Transfer Card (EBT), which means you receive help from government assistance programs, you can get a $ 5.99 Premium Membership / month.

There are other ways to take advantage of Prime Day without paying monthly fees. Is your birthday coming soon? If you have a friend or a generous family member, he can offer you a Premium membership for three months ($ 39) or year-round ($ 119).

And, of course, you can still sign up for a premium membership, take advantage of the 30-day free trial period, and then cancel it once Prime Day sales are over. But you may regret this decision next year, when the first day will be back.
