How to unlock the Predator skin in Fortnite

Predator skin coming soon to Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 5, and we can piece together the expected release date of everything that has been leaked and teased so far.

Epic Games has brought a ton of new content in Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 5. This includes crossovers in the form of skins based on The Mandalorian, Kratos, Master Chief and others. Now it looks like we might get the next Predator.

The alien hunter from the classic 1987 Arnold Schwarzenegger film has already been teased in Season 5, and now his arrival at the battle royale looks imminent. Here’s everything we know so far about unlocking the Predator in Fortnite.

When will the predator arrive in Fortnite?

The developers haven’t given us an exact date when they plan to release the Predator skin in Fortnite, but recent developments suggest it will be in the coming weeks.

Fortnite’s new v15.20 update added the Predator ship to the map. You can find it when you visit Stealthy Stronghold, which means the intergalactic hunter is already hiding somewhere on the island.

Season 5 will end on March 16, 2021, so we’ll surely see The Predator arrive before that. This means that we can expect to see the new skin arriving in late January or early February.

How to unlock the Predator skin in Fortnite

If you’ve purchased the Fortnite Season 5 Battle Pass, you’ll be able to spot a new Mystery Rewards section. The new skin will likely be displayed here as there are already three predator-related rewards.

The current bundle of Predator related items includes a banner icon, icon, and graffiti. You will need to complete the jungle hunter quests if you want to unlock them on your own. Six other mystery rewards have yet to be identified.

The Predator will also act as a new NPC that you can meet on the map. Much like The Mandalorian, you’ll have to fight this notorious hunter as he tries to take you down like a bounty.

A few leaks have also appeared which suggests that the Predator skin will have two different variations: Mask On and Mask Off. It’s an interesting addition because the creature’s horrific face is just as iconic as its high-tech helmet.
