How to watch the opening speech of the Google I / O 2019 and what to expect

The technical conference season is in full swing. Facebook had its opening speech on the F8 earlier this week and Google is following it with its annual I / O developer conference on Tuesday.

For those who are not present at the Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View, California, you can watch the live talk on the Google Developers YouTube channel. It will air Tuesday at 10:00 am, Pacific time / 13:00. AND.

As always, expect a lot of news from Google I / O. The company will have all our attention during the keynote speech and will probably use this time to talk about a range of feature updates, products and more. to come up.

Google has not exactly tried to hide that there would be news on Pixel at I / O this year. Leaks suggest that Google will be showing the new Pixel 3a and 3a XL phones this year, which could be slightly cheaper models than those proposed by Google in the past. Pixel has not been Google's biggest hit, so more affordable phones could do the trick.

As always, Google will probably bring more light on the next update of Android Q on its mobile operating system. The first beta version of Android Q came out in March and it would make sense for Google to talk about the final version at I / O.

On the front of the smart home, Google unveiled the new Nest Max Hub at the end of March. It would not be shocking to see the device, featuring a 10-inch HD display, show up at the I / O. Google could also talk about Gmail, which was the subject of many upgrades during of the last months. The Google Duplex AI phone call service revealed last year could also be treated, as its availability is still somewhat limited a year later.

The big elephant in the room is the recently announced Google Stadia gaming platform. Google announced the game streaming service in March, but specific details such as release date and rates were substantially absent at that time. Google has promised to talk later this year, but that might not show up at I / O, as the gambling industry will meet for big ads next month at E3.
