When you need to rank the last six Alabama Nationals, your fan base might be little spoiled. But Crimson Tide fans wouldn’t have it any other way and are happy to point out through a list like this.

On AL.com’s Facebook Live show “Bammers,” Matt Scalici and Ben Flanagan ranked all six Bama titles under Nick Saban and invited Bama fans to give us their ratings in the comments.

They discuss how they think fans would rank national title wins, based on several factors: the storylines of the season, the memorable moments from each game, the performances of legendary players, and the personal memories that make them all. so special.

There is no wrong answer here. Which winning titles are most important to you? Is there maybe a little recency bias towards the last Alabama 2020 title? Is the first championship of 2009 still the sweetest? Watch the video above for Matt and Ben’s choices and explanations.

Here’s how Matt and Ben rank them (best to least best):

Ben: 2009, 2017, 2020, 2012, 2015, 2011

Mast: 2009, 2012, 2015, 2020, 2017, 2011

Thomas Erwin: “Due to 2020 aspiring in so many other ways, the 2020 title is the best for me as a fan. Ranking 1-6 with the most expensive at the top: 2020, 2009, 2017, 2015, 2012, 2011 ″

Janice Hudkins: “The 2009 championship season was the best because we haven’t won one since 1992, but beating Ohio State was the most satisfying because EVERYBODY said they were going to wipe the floor with us like they did. ‘did in 2014. “

Alex McGraw: “2020 must be No. 1. Undefeated with the entire SEC schedule, 3 Heisman candidates. The most significant offensive in history !!! “

Jennifer Marshlar: “2020. The dedication and determination of these young men to play the game and be COVID-19 free during the process. Not to mention the best attack in Crimson Tide history.

Penny Nelson Joiner: “09, 11, 12 championships … difficult to repeat these teams! 3 rings in 4 years. Roll Tide! “

Donovan Harris: “2020. After 5 championships… to continue to develop, adjust rehabilitate coaches… social and health emergencies… and win with an undefeated and dominant performance #RollTide ”

Winford Riner: “2011 was great because LSWho won the 1st time, but go back and watch this game 9-6. We missed games close to the margins, the calls went through LSU, and that’s football. When ESPN asked Team LSU to replay Alabama, you could tell they didn’t want it ”

Bryan Russell: “Championship problems, for sure. If I had to answer, I would say the 2011 NC team from a tornado recovery perspective was the most meaningful to me.

Rheena Elmore: “2017, 2009, 2011, 2020, 2012 and 2015 are all tied for number 1! Roll Tide! 😉 “

Andy Roper: “09, 20, 17, 15, 11, 12 for me. 09 is the only correct answer for the most satisfactory. The start of another dynasty after a long drought.

Greg Smith: “Difficult to beat the 2nd and 26th in 2017 but 2020 was great”

Rob Robertson: “1. Most satisfying was 2009 because of the 17-year-old Gulf. 2. 2020 was near because it really seemed like the dynasty had really been threatened 3. LSU because of revenge and the most dominant performance”
