Syracuse has suspended goaltender Frank Howard for an indefinite period for violating the sports department's policy, the university announced Wednesday night. Orange, ninth seed, plays Baylor Thursday night.
There are no other details and the phrasing is interesting. Howard became infamous viral after trying to trip Duke Zion Williamson at the ACC tournament last week.
Howard averaged 8.9 points, 2.9 assists and 2.0 rebounds this season. This is a major loss for Syracuse, who, in reward, will probably face Gonzaga in the next round.
