Huddersfield Town vs. Manchester United – Football Match Report – May 5, 2019

Manchester United will face football in the Europa League next season after a 1-1 draw against Huddersfield ended their chances of finishing in the top four.

The men of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer started the match with flying colors and took the advantage after just eight minutes when Huddersfield goalkeeper Jonas Lossl had left Scott McTominay's efforts under him.

However, he made amends to the place where he threw a long ball towards the pitch – after a clever corner from United – that Luke Shaw failed to intercept and that Isaac Mbenza quietly countered David De Gea.

Huddersfield's relegation was confirmed on March 30 after a defeat at Crystal Palace and lost 22 of their last 24 games. She was looking for her ninth match in the campaign without defeat.

Solksjaer is gone Jesse Lingard and Anthony Martial come out of the group of matches with Alexis Sanchez. The Chilean international, however, left the injured field after 54 minutes.

As in previous matches, United started well and took the lead, but quickly lost his spark and Huddersfield advanced in the match before scoring for a deserved equalizer.

United ends the campaign with a groan and has recorded only one win in eight matches, all competitions.

This result means that they can no longer face Tottenham and Chelsea in the Champions League. However, they could start the season in the Europa League play-offs if they finished sixth and if Watford defeated Manchester City in the FA Cup final.

Huddersfield will finish the season down despite gaining a point against United.
