A major Super Smash Bros. Ultimate leak that seemed to confirm Pyra from Xenoblade Chronicles 2 as a fighter 9 DLC may have revealed the remaining characters from Fighters Pass Volume 2.
It seems like not a day goes by that a Smash Ultimate ‘leak’ doesn’t surface and while a lot of these leaks just end up being made by annoyed fans wanting to cheat people, sometimes a leak pops up along with it. additional legitimacy.
The January 8 one is gaining popularity online for apparently confirming Pyra as DLC 9 and the remaining fighters as well. Pyra, of course, wasn’t revealed until February’s Nintendo Direct, so there may be some truth to this leak.
According to the leaker, Nintendo plans to host a three-hour concert in 2022 where a symphony orchestra will play renditions of songs that appear in Smash Ultimate.
“This event will take place in Japan after the Second Fighters Pass ends and they are taking all necessary precautions to make this event happen,” the Leaked wrote. “They will broadcast the event live on Youtube for everyone to see and eventually Nintendo will distribute an original soundtrack disc on the My Nintendo service.”
They then listed all of the songs Nintendo is planning for the gig and there are some huge additions that seem to scare away potential fighters if that’s true.
Most notably, right after Sephiroth’s One-Winged Angel theme, the leaker lists Counterattack from Xenoblade Chronicles 2 as the next song. This song was used in the Pyra trailer, suggesting that it will be included with DLC content, still slated for March.
Following this track, “N. Sanity Beach ”is next on the list, which would mean Crash Bandicoot would be the next DLC fighter.
Crash has been an incredibly popular contender for Smash Ultimate, so the fact that he might end up coming in Fighters Pass Volume 2 is a huge deal.
The last lead for a new fighter listed by the leaker is “Proof of a Hero” which is from the Monster Hunter series. Monster Hunter is another character that fans have been curious to see in Smash and while some reports have claimed it is unlikely, this leak suggests otherwise.
Of course, take it all with a grain of salt. The fact that this leak casually mentions N. Sanity Beach let alone Crash seems a bit odd, especially if someone really has that information.
Fortunately, we may not have too much time to see if this leak is true or not. It is possible that the Monster Hunter Mii fighters from the previous game could be announced during the full Pyra presentation, as many Miis from Smash 4 are returning for Ultimate.
If they don’t return, the chances of these characters being promoted to full-fledged fighters will be much more likely.
We’ll have to see what the future holds and if Crash fans can finally fulfill their wish for the bandicoot to appear in Smash.
