Hulu is finally streaming again in 4K

Hulu is way behind Netflix and Amazon Prime Video when it comes to 4K streaming. In fact, the company has completely abandoned 4K after removing the UHD option last year. But today, as I noticed AppleInsider, Hulu has very silently announced that 4K playback was again available for customers using Apple TV 4K or Chromecast Ultra. Hopefully the list of supported platforms will grow, but for now these are just these two devices.

Hulu says its 4K content averages 16 Mbps, compared with 6 Mbps for 1080p or 3 Mbps for 720p. If you're dealing with home Internet data limitations, keep in mind.

In terms of selection, the original Hulu shows are similar to The servant's tale can be viewed in 4K. But that's really it, with all other content exceeding 1080p. On the other hand, Netflix and Amazon offer UHD movies and TV shows other than their originals.

The parent company, Disney, will launch later in the year in the development of 4K HDR with the HDR 4K, promising an unparalleled presentation of its catalog of films, including those of Marvel.
