Hulu revealed upcoming release dates for its fall schedule, including return of favorite originals Great and Animans, as well as the first year series Sick, of empire Danny Fort.
First, the eight-episode limited series Sick of sleep— based on Beth Macy’s bestselling book, which gives viewers an ambitious, heartbreaking and compelling look at the epicenter of America’s fight against opioid addiction. It stars Michael Keaton, Ray McKinnon, Rosario Dawson and Peter Sarsgaard, among others. It will premiere on October 13.
Period 2 of the period comedy-drama Great will be released on November 19 with Gillian Anderson joining the cast as Catherine (Elle Fanning) mother Joana. And Hulu teases a tumultuous season as Catherine finally takes the Russian throne for herself – but if she thought her husband’s coup was difficult, that’s nothing compared to the realities of ‘liberation’ d ‘a country that does not want to be.
On November 5, the wacky Yakko, Wakko and Dot are back with a 13-episode Season 2 of Animans.
The other release dates include a lot of gastronomic content. Bakers Dozen (premiering October 7) follows 13 amateur bakers as they battle seasoned pros for the coveted top spot, hosted by Tamera Mowry-Housley.
The next thing you eat is a six-part docu-series that explores the future of food from chef David Chang and Oscar-winning documentary director Morgan Neville premieres October 21.
And Padma Lakshi has Taste the Nation: Holiday Edition premieres Nov. 4, about his trip across the United States highlighting the unique traditions of different immigrant cultures on this four-part special.
