The servant's tale is Hulu's flagship original series, and it could become even bigger, thanks to Wills, Margaret Atwood's next sequel to the original novel that inspired the series. Hulu is apparently looking to develop Wills in a television series with MGM Television, according to Deadline.

Most details of the plot on Wills (which will be published on September 10th) are still under silence, but we know that the novel takes place 15 years after the end of the first book and is told by three female characters. But it can be assumed that whenever Atwood interprets history, Hulu and MGM wish to broadcast it on television.

As the Hulu series has already stretched well beyond the reach of the novel, it's easy to see how the Atwood sequel – which takes place even farther into the future than the current seasons of the series – could continue the story, whether as future seasons of the existing series. Tale of the maid show, or as a sequel following the line.

With Wills not yet on the shelves, we do not know when the new adaptation will come to Hulu, or even when the production will begin. But it seems obvious that Hulu and MGM Television are committed to the franchise, given the desire to expand it as well as to continue the story.
