Hulu’s Hellraiser movie features Jamie Clayton as the new pinhead

There’s a new Pinhead in town. According to Deadline, Hulu and Spyglass have announced the full cast of the next installment in the long Hellraiser franchise. Jamie Clayton will headline the film as the iconic Cenobite, Pinhead.

The casting of Clayton marks the first time Pinhead has been played by a woman. Actor Doug Bradley originated from the role in Clive Barker’s first film Hellraiser film in 1987 and returned to play the character in seven sequels before retiring with the 2005s Hellraiser: Hellworld. In subsequent installments, Pinhead was played by Stephan Smith Collins and Paul T. Taylor.

Netflix fans Sens8 can recognize Clayton from his lead role as Nomi Marks in both seasons of this series. More recently, she has also booked recurring passages on Designated survivor, Roswell New, Mexico, and The L word: generation Q. Join Clayton in the Hellraiser The reboot are Odessa A’zion, Brandon Flynn, Goran Visnjic, Drew Starkey, Adam Faison, Aoife Hinds, Selina Lo and Hiam Abbass. Unfortunately, Hulu didn’t provide any breakdown for their characters.

David Bruckner conducts Hellraiser from a screenplay by Ben Collins and Luke Piotrowski and a story by David S. Goyer. Surprisingly, the film has already finished production. The reboot also notably includes Barker’s return to the franchise for the first time since. Hellraiser: Bloodline released in theaters in 1996. Barker will serve as producer on the new film. Additionally, Spyglass’ production president Peter Oillataguerre released a new statement that appeared to indicate plans for a 2022 release.
