Hyrule Warriors: Age Of Calamity is discounted on Amazon for Black Friday

Black Friday 2020 brought a lot of deals on games released over the past month, including Watch Dogs: Legion, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, and Gears Tactics. But the latest Black Friday deal we stumbled upon was for a game that launched last week. Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity is available on Amazon for $ 50, which is a nice saving of $ 10 off the price of the all-new Nintendo Switch exclusive.

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity is a spin-off of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. It tells the story 100 years before the events of Breath of the Wild, chronicling the great calamity that leads to the prolonged period of darkness and ruin across Hyrule.

While Age of Calamity shares the same map as Breath of the Wild, it’s a linear adventure with a standard mission structure. Developed by Koei Tecmo, Age of Calamity follows the tradition of its predecessors Hyrule Warriors and Fire Emblem Warriors. Despite being tied to Breath of the Wild, don’t expect a traditional Zelda experience. Age of Calamity is a hack-and-slash adventure that regularly sees Link and his friends battling hundreds of enemies at once.

I have been playing Age of Calamity since its launch and have really enjoyed it so far. Each character has a unique playstyle and the combat offers a great mix of button shuffling and strategy.
