The Boston Bruins and Carolina Hurricanes will face Thursday in the opening game of the Eastern Conference final of the NHL. With this in mind, the Boston WBZ-FM radio station (98.5 The Sports Hub) had Raleigh News and Observer Hurricanes beat writer Chip Alexander in "Touch & Rich" to talk about hockey on Wednesday morning.
After phoning for a little over four minutes, host Fred Toucher hung up on the phone. Touch explained, "I just can not hear a guy with a southern accent talking about hockey."
Alexander makes his appearance around 4:30 pm of the following audio clip, and Touch hangs up to him after 21 minutes:

Apparently, nobody informed Touch that most of the people of North Carolina had a southern accent, and Alexander's accent was not even so bad here.
And just because Alexandre comes from a southern state, he does not understand hockey? He seemed to make points in the interview and dropped some good nuggets on the Hurricanes before the series, which should be of interest to Bruins fans.
Not to mention that Bostonians should not really make fun of other accents.
