Bob Nightengale reports that there are still three teams in the Bryce Harper draw, which should definitely end this week: the Phillies, the Giants and the Dodgers.

Of these teams, only the Phillies are willing to offer Harper a long-term contract and Nightengale told Ike Reese and Jon Marks at the 94WIP Marks & Reese Show on Monday that he did not think Harper and his agent Scott Boras would settle for a long-term deal.

The Dodgers appeared Monday as a potential contender, seemingly willing to offer Harper a short-term deal with an average annual budget higher than that of the Phillies. Many people think that Harper wants to play in Los Angeles, which is closer to his hometown of Las Vegas and which corresponds to his Hollywood personality. Nightengale does not think the Dodgers would go to $ 40 million per season, but they could offer something like three or four years at $ 35 million a season.
