Kevin Hart has become one of the best funny people in Hollywood. He is known and worshiped for his kinetic energy and raw confessional style. But when it comes to his last stand-up special Zero F **** given, the material was not well received by many viewers.

Hart’s special was released on Netflix on November 17. He was filmed inside his family’s home but was staged to look like inside a comedy club. “I’m not comfortable anywhere other than my home anymore,” Hart explained in the program. “I’m in my f * cking comfort zone. I’ll let it fly today. Whatever I feel, I will say it, ”he added.

In just over an hour, Hart touched on topics ranging from his coronavirus (COVID-19) diagnosis earlier in 2020 to his experiences as a daddy girl. But as the Los Angeles Times notes, he was “more low-key” in his routine than usual, avoiding material one might expect to hear in a Hart performance.

Upon its release, the special received mixed reviews from viewers. While many people have praised Hart and his growth as a comedian, others have said on social media that they are not happy.

Hart took to social media to respond to criticism after a reporter apparently asked him to share his thoughts on the reactions to his special.

“I don’t care,” he began. “Actually, I don’t have any f * cks to give. He said, ‘But Kevin, but wait. People said they wanted old Kevin back. I don’t care what people said. I have zero f * cks to give. If you want old Kevin, go see what old Kevin did because that Kevin didn’t care. I have no f * cks to give. I do not care. I do not care. “

“I’m 41 years old. I don’t have time to fuck myself, ”he added. Hart kept ringing before ending his rant by plugging in the program. “That’s it. I’m done. You get the drift. Go watch the special and hopefully someday you get to the point where you have nothing left to give. On Netflix now.”

This isn’t the first time Kevin Hart has suffered a backlash for one of his stand-up stages.

Hart was also criticized for his 2010 stand-up special Seriously funny, which featured homophobic jokes.

After the content overhaul in 2018, Hart dropped a 2019 Oscar hosting gig before apologizing. “I sincerely apologize to the LGBTQ community for my insensitive words from my past… I am evolving and I want to continue to do so. My goal is to bring people together, not tear us apart, ”he tweeted at the time, via Billboard.
