Robyn Hayward never fired punches. She slammed Boston sports media for making it seem like the Hayward family didn’t like the city.
Robyn’s husband Gordon signed one of the biggest deals of this offseason to date, bringing in $ 120 million over 4 years for the Charlotte Hornets. Many had blasted Hayward for turning down his $ 34 million player option this season with the Celtics.
But Hayward definitely had a good contract offer up his sleeve to so casually turn down a life-changing sum of money. In the end, the Hornets took a bite out of the promise he made last season with the Celtics.

Robyn Hayward blames Boston sports media for unnecessarily approaching his family
On an Instagram story, Robyn devoted her whole heart to Hayward’s move. She thanked the city and its police force for being kind to her and the Hayward family. She also berated Boston sports media for appearing otherwise.
“Unlike the Boston media, I really enjoyed my time there and the connections I made. I will miss the community I lived in of the local police officers who watched me every day, and the wonderful friends I made at the Roche brothers who were always up for a chat when I was alone, my wonderful neighbors and of course my friends at the cheese factory.

Hayward is expected to be the Hornets’ key to the playoffs. Losing Kemba Walker to the Celtics was a big blow to their aspirations, but with LaMelo Ball in the squad now, they look scary enough to make noise in the regular season.
