Easttown mare star Kate Winslet reacted to a Saturday Night Live parody of the show.

The sketch, titled Murder Durdur, stars Kate McKinnon as Mare de Winslet and picks up on the Delaware County accents of the series.

“I have never felt so validated as an actor in my entire life as I do today because of Murdur Durdur,” said Oscar winner Winslet. Entertainment Weekly.

The actor, who received an Emmy nomination for his performance on the show, went on to say that she was watching the skit with the whole family.

“Every once in a while in our home we say to ourselves, ‘Oh, should we just take a quick look at it? And we will gather around the iPhone, weeping with laughter.

Winslet went on to praise a recent episode of Glasses box, which featured the reality show regulars reacting to episode five of the series.

“It’s almost as hilarious as Murder Durdur and I encourage everyone to Google ‘Gogglebox Mare of Easttown’,” she said. “There is about a seven minute segment that covers episode five which is so funny.”

She added: “We watch Murder Durdur as a family and then we’re like, ‘Oh quick, let’s just watch Glasses box as well as.'”

Plans for a second season of the series are still pending. “If Brad [Ingelsby, the show’s creator] felt like he had a story to tell that seemed to be on the same level, I think everyone would be open to it, ”HBO chief Casey Bloys said. Variety.

“At the moment, he doesn’t have that story. Who knows? We’ll have to wait and see if they find something they’re dying to say.

The show’s season finale became the most-watched episode on HBO Max.
