‘I love the organization’, met the team

Tulsa linebacker Zaven Collins is currently the clubhouse leader for most simulated draft screenings as the No.26 pick for the Cleveland Browns. The versatile defender let it be known during his Zoom Professional Day press conference that he wanted to make those screenings a reality.

Collins admitted that he had met the Browns more than once and really liked what he saw from afar.

“I love the organization. I love the program. I love all the coaches out there, ”Collins said.

“I have no choice (who chooses me),” Collins continued. “Everywhere I go I’m going to fit in because I know I will. I’ve done it every time in my life. I like being with people, enjoying people, making people’s day better, and it seems that [the Browns] already have this in their program. They’ve completely changed the culture in the last couple of years, and it sounds like a great program.

Collins can play both as an off-ball linebacker and as a standing pass on EDGE, in the vein of Olivier Vernon. Its positional versatility is a selling point.

The Oklahoma native has said he won’t be attending the 2021 NFL Draft in Cleveland personally, but that doesn’t mean he won’t be visiting the city soon. Maybe for a prolonged career break …
