Dolly Parton may grow old, but she will never get old.
“I don’t think of my life in terms of numbers. First of all, I will never be old because I don’t have time to be old. I can’t stop long enough to get older, ”the country music legend, 74, told Oprah Winfrey during an appearance on Apple TV +’s“ The Oprah Conversation ”on People’s Friday.
“I bet I won’t look much different at 95, if I live that long, because I’m like the Gabor sisters.
To keep her appearance eternally young, Parton plans to rely on a combination of cosmetics – in which she previously said she sleeps, so she can always be ready to photograph – and cosmetic procedures.
“I’m going to look like a cartoon,” the “Jolene” singer joked. “I’m going to do my makeup. I will look as young as my plastic surgeons allow me and [with] all the makeup and lighting and stuff. But I think more than anything it’s about what comes from inside you.
“It’s an attitude and you have to shine from within. Sometimes it can make you feel young and make you look young in the eyes of others. “
Parton, who said his goal was “to be the best I can be at any age”, is doing pretty well so far; she’s even in talks to pose for Playboy for her 75th birthday in January, provided the spread is “tasteful.”
