Iced Earth and Demons & Wizards are no longer listed on the Century Media Record website following guitarist Jon Schaffer’s participation in the Capitol Riot earlier this month.
Century Media appears to have erased all traces of the two groups, both of which include Schaffer as a founding member. Iced Earth and Demons & Wizards are not on the label’s current artist roster, nor Century Media’s alumni roster. Products derived from the two acts are also no longer available through the Century Media online store.
An official statement has yet to be released by the label. We reached out to Century Media for comment, but have yet to receive a response.
Jon Schaffer is currently under arrest by the FBI and is suspected of discharging “bear spray” during the pro-Trump riot. Schaffer faces six charges, including, knowingly entering or remaining in a building or restricted land without legal authorization; Disrupt the smooth running of government affairs; Knowingly engaging in an act of physical violence against any person or property in any building or restricted property; Violent entry and disorderly conduct into a Capitol building; Engage in an act of physical violence in a Capitol building; and parade, demonstration or picketing in a Capitol building.
A widely circulated photo of Schaffer on Capitol Hill shows him wearing a blue hoodie, black fingerless gloves, and a hat marked “Oath Keepers Lifetime Member.” The Oath Keepers is an anti-government far-right militia created in 2009.
The Southern Poverty Law Center, an organization that routinely identifies hate groups and other national threats to civility, said this about the Oath Keepers:
The Oath Keepers, which claims tens of thousands of former and current law enforcement officials and veterans as members, is one of the largest radical anti-government groups in the United States today. While claiming only to defend the Constitution, the whole organization is based on a set of baseless conspiracy theories about the federal government working to destroy American freedoms.
Prior to the events of January 6, Schaffer attended a pro-Trump rally in Washington DC on November 15, eight days after the presidential race call for Joe Biden. During his stay, he gave a video interview to a German media The world, detailing why he was there and his thoughts on the potential for violence at the rally.

A group of thugs and criminals hijacked this country a long time ago. Now they’re taking their big step, and it won’t happen. And that’s what it is. They are globalists. They are the scum of the earth. These are the criminals who are behind all the fraudulent charges on currency, they are behind all the wars, they are behind all the shit, they are behind the divisive conquer tactics, behind the racial divide. It doesn’t make any sense, it’s rubbish.
People have to wake up and come out of the matrix because they are collapsing. They took the step. They’re playing with the wrong people here – trust me on that. And we needed it to be open like this – open fraud, open theft. Because now we see you, and you come down. Listen to me carefully.
If anyone wants to bring violence, I think many of us here are ready. We don’t want that, but if they bring it, we’ll answer them – trust me.
I think it goes beyond President Trump. President Trump is a populist. He’s not your typical Republican. He is not from the establishment. He’s not going to start wars everywhere like they do. What’s funny – where are all the Democrats who were against the war?
There is so much hatred for Trump, it’s just ridiculous. He’s dealing with a shadowy criminal mafia that has ruled the world, frankly, for a very long time. They want to destroy all of our sovereignty and establish a world government.
We don’t have it. We can still do business together, countries can still be at peace, but we are not going to merge into a globalist and communist system. It will not arrive. There will be a lot of bloodshed, if it comes down to it – trust me.
Americans won’t go for this bullshit – once they figure out what’s really going on. So that’s where we are. No one wants that, but they push us to a point where we have no choice.
