Idris Elba changes role in the sequel to "Suicide Squad"

Idris Elba will not replace Will Smith like Deadshot in the next Suicide team after.

The 46-year-old actor will play an entirely new role in the film, according to Variety.

Sources say that all parties, including the director James Gunn decided to move from the Deadshot character but did not reveal the new character Idris will play.

That leaves now Will the possibility of returning to the character in the future as the initial reason for his departure from the film was due to planning and not to creative differences.

Warner Bros. did not comment on the decision.
