Outriders is finally available today for all things (except for the Switch). But some players to have would have found themselves unable to play, seemingly stuck on an infinite loading screen. Pro tip: stay online. They must count your connection.
A similar problem plagued the Outriders demo, which became available at the end of February and gave players full access to the prologue and the first chapter of the game. In the demo, you can bypass an infinite loading screen by resorting to the proven method of “turning it off then turn it back on ”. More often than not, closing and reopening the game would do the trick. (Speaking from personal experience, sometimes you had to do this process twice.)
Now that the full game has been released, this workaround no longer seems to work. The only known solution is a virtue: patience.

I played a bit of Outriders last night. When I first started the game I found myself facing a seemingly endless loading screen and tried the method that worked so well throughout the demo. It didn’t work, but sitting on my ass for a hot second did. After about five minutes, I was able to get into the game, where all of my hard earned progress from the demo – all four characters with all of their gear, resources, and skills –was waiting for me.
