Ikea's Fyrtur and Kadrilj smart stores got a new release date in the United States on Oct. 1, the company confirmed today, following the recently announced launch in Sweden in August.

The smart blinds were originally scheduled for launch in the US on April 1, but Ikea postponed the launch of the firmware update because it offered "an opportunity to improve functionality." The company promises that you will be able to control the blinds with a phone using the app for the Ikea Trådfri smart home and, thanks to this, with the voice commands Alexa, Siri and Google Assistant.

The smart blinds themselves are not a new concept, but Ikea's reaction has attracted attention when it was first announced because of its low price – the Kadrilj blinds had been advertised from 99 € (about 113 $), and the Fyrtur breakdown The nuances started at 119 € (about 136 $), which made them much cheaper than most other blind blind solutions.
