Congressman Ilhan Omar says he received death threats
A US Democratic legislator has publicized a racist threat that she would be killed at the state fair by "a very competent person with a very big" gun ".
Ilhan Omar, a Muslim representative from Minnesota, said such anonymous messages are the reason she now has security guards.
She spoke as US Senate candidate Roy Moore tweeted, "President Trump was right, she should return to Somalia."
The Republicans of Alabama have requested the expulsion of Ms. Omar from Congress.
"I hate to live in a world where you have to be protected from human beings," said Omar, who arrived in the United States as a 12-year-old Somali refugee.
"But until disturbed people like this cease to threaten my life and the lives of others, I have to accept the reality of security."
The Conservatives have repeatedly criticized Ms. Omar for her position with regard to Israel, accusing it of anti-Semitism.
Ms. Omar has also been criticized by her own party for her comments on US-Israeli relations, but she denied accusations of anti-Semitism.
She has apologized in the past for stirring up the stereotypes of Jews in her remarks against lobbyists.
A resolution urging the Alabama congressional delegation to begin the deportation proceeding following Ms. Omar's speeches on Israel was approved by the Republican Party of State over the weekend, AL.com reported.
Ms. Omar replied on Tuesday: "I was elected with 78% of the vote by the residents of Minnesota's 5th District, not by the Republican Party of Alabama".
She added a blow to Mr. Moore, referring to three women's allegations that he made sexual advances to them while they were teenagers.
Moore, 71, denied all allegations and filed a defamation suit against women last May.

The chants of "sending her back" at a Trump rally followed the president's tweets.
Ms. Omar said she was receiving new death threats whenever the president attacked her.
The first legislator also faces a complaint from the Federal Election Commission (FEC) of the Conservative National Legal and Policy Center, who questions whether Ms. Omar used the campaign funds to pay a political consultant to whom she was related. loving way.
Ms. Omar denied an extramarital affair and refused to talk about her personal life during an interview with CBS Minnesota.
