Chris Cuomo appears to have finally reached his rotation limit of White House advisor Kellyanne Conway.
On Thursday, the CNN host tried to convince Conway to condemn the remarks made by President Donald Trump during an interview with Breitbart in which he seemed to suggest the potential for violence from his supporters:
"I have the support of the police, the support of the army, the support of Bikers for Trump. I have hard people, but they do not play hard until they reach a certain point, and that would then be very bad, very bad. "
But Conway would not do it.
"You just read as you usually do," she says. "He spoke of the peace and kindness of many who are otherwise hard."
Conway also asked for the quote, but when Cuomo tried to read it, she immediately interrupted it.
"Christopher, he did not threaten or threaten the violence," she said before declaring that Cuomo was defending violence.
"I give up," Cuomo said repeatedly.
"I made a mistake, so I surrendered. You will never do it – you will never call for what he says or what he does. You choose pragmatism rather than principle, and I should know it. "
Cuomo then aired an excerpt from Wednesday's interview with Republican National Committee President Ronna McDaniel, who said that morality mattered little to presidents.
"You could be the nicest and most moral person in the world," McDaniel told Cuomo. "I do not want you to be president because I want to make sure you are in tune with my policy."
After the clip, Cuomo pointed out that the Republican party's "party account" mantra had disappeared.
"I'm sorry, is there a question in there or are you pontificating?" Interrupted Conway. "Because you've invited me here to answer questions."
