"I'm stunned:" A man says the DoorDash delivery man ate half of his food before delivering it to him.

YORK COUNTY, Pennsylvania – It can be tempting to order food with your finger on your door – but it can also be a problem.

Chris Payton of York County, Pennsylvania, said he had ordered DoorDash, a food delivery app that sends orders to restaurants and delivers them directly to your home.

After the driver had left his food, Payton said he opened the box and found that half had been eaten.

Two of the six ribs he had ordered had disappeared and what appeared to be traces of biting had been left behind.

"I'm just stunned. I was really shocked that something like this was happening, "said Payton.

Payton said that he thought the driver of the DoorDash vehicle was to blame.

"I suppose she stops by the side of the road and decides to take a small snack before giving birth," said Payton.

WPMT spoke to the Dickey's Barbecue employee who handled the order. Although they were not allowed to speak in front of a camera, they confirmed Payton's story and claimed to have had problems with the same DoorDash driver.

"It's just crazy, I do not understand people, why would they do something like that?" said Payton. "It's someone's food. You pay for it. You expect to get it. You pay for a service. "

Dozens of similar complaints from other DoorDash customers across the country can be viewed online.

WPMT went to DoorDash for comments, but did not immediately receive an answer.

Payton said that even if DoorDash had paid him back his money, he hoped the driver would be reprimanded for his actions.

"Treat your customers with respect. Treat someone like you would like to be treated yourself, "said Payton.
