With my apologies, tonight was a sort of Friday night “drink beers with a friend and only vaguely follow the game”.
I was vaguely aware of what was going on and how it was going, but didn’t look particularly closely until the 8th inning (when Rowan Wick was pretty clearly gassed but was still heavily pressed (I did not really a negative feelings towards him, because he’s been so awesome lately (but it’s not the first time we’ve seen a pretty big drop for him this year after around 15/20 pitches, so it’s ‘is something to keep in mind))). The Cubs have had a spoiler night so far, but a four spot for the Brewers changed overnight.
I saw some of the positives in the highlights – Frank Schwindel keeps on going, Patrick Wisdom’s hot new streak has continued and a great night out for Alfonso Rivas – but all I got to watch was this collapse of the 8th round.
