Normally, when the Golden State Warriors put in a nonchalant effort, we know who’s going to speak up and voice their displeasure: either forward Draymond Green or head coach Steve Kerr.

But on Thursday night, in the third quarter of a 130-104 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers, TNT cameras captured Steph Curry giving what appeared to be a – dare I say – a PG-like pep talk. -13.

It’s not a show most Dub fans are used to, nor what color commentator Reggie Miller expected either. “This is possibly the liveliest I have ever seen in a game,” Miller said. “There’s a sense of urgency here. It’s good to see that from Curry.”

The speech didn’t inspire a dramatic comeback – the Warriors were ultimately smacked again – but it made a big impression on social media. Sydel, Steph’s sister tweeted that she could relate to the rest of the Golden State roster: “He got mad at me once 7 years ago and I still feel like a terrible person lol.”

Curry has had one of his worst games of the season against the Clippers, finishing with 14 points in 27 minutes, but he and the rest of his teammates will have a chance to break a four-game losing streak against the Utah Jazz on Sunday.
