Chief Receiver Tyreek Hill pleaded guilty to strangling following the domestic assault following an incident in 2014 with Crystal Espinal, who was then pregnant with her son. But in a recorded conversation with Espinal, Hill denied the incident and accused Espinal of lying.
After their son had his arm broken this year, the authorities opened an investigation into the abuse of children. No charges were laid, but Hill had to face a close examination of the incident, as well as the recorded conversation, in which Espinal said their son was terrified of him and Hill was answered: A more complete version of this recording was released by 610 Sports in Kansas City, and Hill shows no remorse for the 2014 incident.
"You lost my life and you lied in 2014. I'm not done yet. I did not touch you in 2014, "Hill told Espinal. "You lied to me in 2014. If you want to rewind that night, we can also rewind that night. You were at my place. And did I take it and slam it? Surely not. I took you and kicked you out.
Espinal then asked, "Where do the bruises come from, Tyreek?" Hill did not answer.
Espinal also said, "You had your hand around my neck," to which Hill replied, "No, I did not do it."
Hill rarely spoke of the 2014 incident, even though he said in 2016 that people "have every right to get mad at me because I have committed something wrong. most people are likely to be perceived as a refusal to show remorse and accept responsibility for their actions.
