This driver may have left the scene, but he left a very important clue to the authorities.
The Brewster County Sheriff's Office in Texas announced on Facebook that MPs were conducting an operation with US border police officers near Highway 90, after recovering about 1,127 pounds of marijuana.
Marijuana was packed and stacked from floor to ceiling inside the county SUV along the US border with Mexico.

The photos posted by the sheriff's office showed the back of the vehicle stuffed with marijuana packages.
But while the driver was untraceable, the police said he had left something important behind him: his identity.
"The driver left the scene before he could meet our MPs and friendly agents, but left his wallet in the vehicle," the sheriff's office said. "We would really like to return it."
