It's a long day of waiting for the send shot at 8:20 pm.
If you read any of the 10 random Eagles points chosen by Roob every 47 minutes, this should allow you to get there!
1. Not a lot of must must win this beginning of the season. "There is still a lot of football to play," and all that. But this is an opportunity to consider the Eagles in their next eight games: at Packers (3-0), Jets (0-3), at Vikings (2-1), at Cowboys (3-0), at Bills (3-0), Bears (2-1), Patriots (3-0), Seahawks [2-1]? It's a combined 18-6 – with half of the losses belonging to the Jets. It is difficult to imagine a more difficult course. This team needs a declaration of victory. This team must play as an aspiring championship team. This team has to play 60 minutes. This team must play games when they are there to be made. This team needs its stars to be great, not just OK. The Eagles have not done these things all the time, and if they do not do them at Lambeau tonight, they go to points 1 to 3. The talent is there to go and win. The Eagles did a lot of work, but that's when Doug Pederson was generally at his best.
2 Donovan McNabb scored 216 touchdowns in 148 games under Andy Reid. Patrick Mahomes, at his current pace, will make his 216th touchdown in his 72nd game under Reid. Yes, the game has changed, but … Holy shit.
3 I do not know if Daeshon Hall can make a huge difference when it comes to pressure, but I know that thanks to what he did this preseason, he deserves his chance. And this is not a boot camp player who accumulates statistics against the third players of other teams. Hall was a third-round pick two years ago. The Eagles desperately need the production of their outside supporters and they have a guy who has shown a lot of promise by doing just that. Give me a reason not to give it a shot?
4 Speaking of pass pressure … Brandon Graham is 31 years old and in his 10th season. We all love B.G for everything he has done here over the last decade, his way of dealing with a lot of adversity and especially the strip tack at the end of the Super Bowl. He will always be loved by here. But after three games, he has no bag and honestly he was not close. He has only four and a half sacks in 19 games since his ankle surgery after the Super Bowl. Last year, he was released from his injury. This year he is in good health and the production is just not there. I need to see more.
5 Twenty-two NFL players have more bags than the Eagles.
6 I received so many tweets "Fire Mike Groh" after this game Sunday that I can not even count them. Look, I do not know if Mike Groh is as bright as Frank Reich, but I know the Eagles have scored 24 points against the Lions without DeSean Jackson and Alshon Jeffery and Dallas Goedert is barely playing. Mike Groh did not train anyone to drop eight passes or fumble three times. The Eagles accumulated 373 yards and converted more than half of their third tries without three of their top five weapons. tell you. It was not the problem.
seven. Sean McCoy had 195 yards in his first three games in the NFL. Miles Sanders is 190.
8 Sam Bradford and Nick Foles are the last two quarterbacks opposed to throwing three touchdowns without interception at Lambeau.
9 I wonder, thinking long term about what's going to happen with Corey Clement. Last year, the injuries were pretty much lost and with all the other halfbacks, he does not seem to fit into this year's plans while he's in good health, at least on offense. It's a bit odd that a child who would have probably finished third in the Super Bowl MVP's vote after voting behind Foles and Tom Brady is some sort of afterthought. I think Corey has talent and can do a lot of things. And since Jordan Howard is no longer under contract since this year and no one really expects Darren Sproles to continue playing, he could play a bigger role next year. He deserves it. I think the kid can play.
ten. Five statistics that might surprise you:
• The Eagles are ninth in the NFL scoring
• Sanders is the Eagles' first rookie to score 125 yards or more in a 15-goal or less game.
• Only 12 teams ran the ball more than the Eagles this year
• This is the first time since 1957 that the Eagles have scored at least four points at halftime in each of their first three games.
• Carson Wentz has 76 career TD passes. Only five QBs have launched more in their first 43 career games: Dan Marino (98), Kurt Warner (95), Johnny Unitas (81) and Matt Stafford (77).
