Vicky Kaushal on the rise! After performing brilliant performances last year in the films Raazi and Sanju the actor enjoyed unprecedented success this year with Uri: The Surgical Strike . Rs 243 crore in his glorious 10-week box-office run. The sudden rain of victory catapulted Vicky into Bollywood's main league of actors and he is now compared to such personalities as Ranbir Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Varun Dhawan and Tiger Shroff.
The awards will be held in Mumbai today. The occasion is super special for the actor since it would be his first performance of the prestigious Filmfare scene. What makes it even more special, is that his act would be a tribute to none other than megastar Amitabh Bachchan.
Speaking of her performance on the sidelines of her rehearsal, Vicky said, "I am very excited. I am very excited for three reasons. First, first time on the stage of Filmfare. Second, it is (my show) a tribute to one and only Mr. Bachchan and third, because it is choreographed by Shiamak (Davar). I have been following his work since my childhood. On one of the social media photos you can see Vicky rehearsing with superstar Shah Rukh Khan. While we can not say for sure if SRK and Vicky team up to pay tribute to Big B, the photo clearly shows that the two stars will certainly share the same scene at the big awards night.
Regarding the film, Vicky will soon start shooting for Shoojit Sircar Udham Singh a film based on the life of the Indian freedom fighter. He also has the project of making Karan Johar, Takht in his cat, in which he allegedly plays the Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb.
