Missing Persons Search Operation Underway

Eight people died in Karnataka after a boat on which they were traveling capsized off the coast of Karwar. There were 26 people on the boat when the accident took place. Local fishermen and coastguards have found eight bodies up to now. A person would be missing.

"Of the 26 people reported aboard the boat, 17 were rescued by other civilian boats operating in the area, and eight bodies were found by the navy and coast guard deployed in the area. the region A Dornier aircraft took off from Goa for research and operations, "said the Navy in a statement.

The population went to a temple on an isolated island in Karwar district. When they returned, their boat capsized.

Rupali Nayak, the district legislator, was aboard the other boat. She is an eyewitness to the accident. She added that her team and she immediately rushed to help the people and fired two people out of the water.

Later, the Navy was called for the ongoing rescue operation.
