Former Prime Minister and Head of HD (HD) Deve Gowda said Thursday that party leaders may have demonstrated their unity at the HD Kumaraswamy swearing-in ceremony as Prime Minister of Karnataka, but that does not mean that they would go hand in hand in all the states in the Lok Sabha polls. In parliament, Deve Gowda said it was necessary to form a third front at the earliest, citing repeated calls from Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP President Amit Shah in favor of simultaneous polls. "By going through the signals that they give to their executives, there is a greater possibility of doing advance polls," he said. "It is not necessary that the parties, who attended the inauguration ceremony of Kumaraswamy as CM Karnataka, fight together states," Gowda told reporters. Deve Gowda said that he was ready to give Lok Sabha a seat in Karnataka to his BSP ally if it provides a seat to JD (S) General Secretary, Danish Ali, in Uttar Pradesh. Ali, a former Deve Gowda loyalist, played a key role in the Congress and JD (S) meeting after the Karnataka elections.

The leader of the JD (S) came to attend a meeting of the parliamentary committee of. He said the SP and the BSP were considering equitably sharing the 80 constituencies of Lok Sabha in Uttar Pradesh.

"In Karnataka, we will fight the 2019 Lok Sabha polls with Congress despite their little problems," Deve Gowda told me. "Up to now, there has been no discussion on this issue," he said, adding that "Rahul Gandhi and Kumaraswamy will discuss and finalize (the arrangement)."

Refusing to comment on the words of the former Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah Deve Gowda said: "It's his feeling."
