Sharing his Ideas on the Next Big Step for Humanity
London, July 10, 2018 – First Computer Enterprise Event in Europe, IP EXPO Europe, co-located at Digital Transformation Europe, today announced Colonel Chris Hadfield, an astronaut, as the opening speaker of this year's event. Nicknamed "the most famous astronaut since Neil Armstrong", Colonel Hadfield has become a world sensation after playing Space Oddity by David Bowie, recorded on the International Space Station. His mission now is to make space accessible to millions of people around the world by talking about the human experience of traveling in space.
In 1992, Hadfield was selected as NASA's mission specialist, and three years later he was aboard the Atlantis shuttle, where he helped build the Mir space station. In 2001, aboard Shuttle Endeavor, Colonel Hadfield made two spacewalks and, in 2013, he became commander of the International Space Station, and spent six months out of the world
